Hello Fall!

Welcome to October!

Fall is here, and the season calls for change as we transition into cooler weather, shorter days, swirling winds and thoughts.

The Fall Equinox falls at the halfway point between the Summer and Winter Solstices.

The season offers calming hues of grey, umbers and browns as we move away from the bright yellows and oranges of the summer and head into the dark violets and amethysts of winter. 

The colours inspire balance and it might just be the right time for you to start anew.

For many, like me, this is the best time of the year to RESET, to take control and schedule time for:

  • Self care

  • Yoga and meditation practice

  • Reintroduce positive habits

  • Begin a healthier routine

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Revisit your goals and reset them if needed

  • Acknowledge your accomplishments this year

Shift into Fall by letting go, releasing all that no longer serves you and step into a life that you choose to fill with energy and joy.  

Clean out closets, purge excess and reflect on how you have flourished over the spring and summer of this year.

As you sit in your daily meditation, consider the following questions:

What would you like to release?

What would you like to attract?

Throughout the month our Yin practices will support the element of the Fall, metal.

This element is most active in the fall and is associated with the lung and large intestine meridians.  

Vinyasa Flow practices will include opportunities to release the hips and emotions.  

Deep Relaxation will encourage gratitude.

And our beloved Hatha practice always offers a path that leads to balance.  Balance of mind, body and spirit.

Welcome Samhain with Yin Yoga at the Wall - It's Samhain which is an ancient Gaelic festival that marks the end of the harvest (light) and the beginning of winter (darkness). A time to honour our ancestors and loved ones who has passed. Dedicate this practice to those beyond the veil - Friday, November 1st @ 7:00 p.m.
